About Ben Jansen
I believe design is not decoration. It’s the pursuit of clarity in a world that is often noisy and complex.
For over 15 years I’ve shaped products and systems across banking, health, retail and research: first at agencies including TBWA, In The Pocket and Idean, later part of frog, and now independently, directly with the teams behind them.
I’m most useful when an established product needs a fundamental rethink, or when an important problem still lacks a convincing solution. I connect customer evidence, business goals and technical constraints, question the assumed answer, and make the alternatives tangible enough to decide on, including when the responsible call is not to build.
Different industries, different challenges. Yet the pursuit is always the same: to design with care and intention, knowing that even the smallest detail carries meaning. Not for what exists on the screen, but for what it enables in people’s lives.
